Wers - (Con)tinued (Pro)fessionalism

Released 2023-01-29

It's time for (Con)tinued (Pro)fessionalism!

Was there ever any professionalism to begin with?

This is the companion to my third full album, Pro(ject) Con(catenate).

None of these songs are actually b-sides. They're all just more songs. In fact, I'd say it's kind of weird that I'm even relating this to Pro Con at all. The styles of some of these tracks are more of a tease for the future than a continuation of the current sound of Pro Con.

I did, however, want this companion to exist. And I think it's better for being related, because Pro Con is already a massive mix of style and this is a further mix...

This album/ep/thing also features a collaboration. Something I haven't done in a few years. demerical spholition was created with a good friend of mine, who is also musical at heart but refuses to release anything.

I'm also proud of the vast assortment of samples I conjured for this release. We got everything from Otogi to the Troggs.

Lastly, I feel like I need to give thanks to Gryotron, an old inspiration of mine who self-removed from the internet. Luckily a lot of his tunes exist through my archives, but I wanted to express my appreciation from yeahfastyeah. Frankly, I kind of copied his idea but I hope I put enough of my own spin on it.

Con Pro actually sat finished for months... I just had absolutely no inspiration for the artwork. FINALLY, I had a good idea and I instantly went and esecuted it. Then it was done, and that day it was released.

I also added a few songs and reordered the tracklist on the day of release as well. So I basically just lied to you when I said it was finished for months because it clearly wasn't if I kept working on it up until the day it was released.

Give this one a spin. I hope you won't regret it. I love this thing.
