etrast is essentially another Black Noise Session, but this was recorded after I bought a second synth, the Korg Volca Beats. Now with two used in conjunction, I didn't feel it was right to group it with the others. Also I made it like a year later... It's completely unrelated but I'm just giving context!

What I found interesting about using two machines together, is that sometimes settings on one would affect the other, and lead to strange, random fluctations in the patterns and loops. I used this as best I could on this release. The whole thing was a singular recording, and I cut it up where I felt the smaller progressions naturally ended.

The first four tracks are all essentially build up for the last song, where it all comes together in complete generative randomness. It's 21 minutes long because I just left it running and didn't want to cut it up. It's all important to me.

Seriously, though, don't listen to all of it. It's probably not worth it. This is basically an experiment to push these synths to their limit.
