vuse - banf

Released 2022-06-21

In 2021 I went on a trip to Banff, AB. Before I left, I decided I wanted to take my synth gear with me to make songs in my hotel room. In preparation, I recorded a piece of music aptly named "prebanf".

"Great", I said to myself, "my equipment is working!"

Wrong, I was. When I got there and tried making music, I could not for the life of me get my laptop to accept the cables in order to record... I briefly got it to connect, though through horrible, hissy, quality. That's "banf", an unedited, cute, short little sequence. It's all I could get, so I decided to leave it unedited, unspruced.

The final track is simply a cover of Boards of Canada's "Roygbiv". It was recorded months later, not in Banff. It should be obvious why it's included on this release...
