Disd - Techium

Released 2021-08-03

I originally made this track for the Nodal Dynamics compilation, but decided to put it up on my own bandcamp page as well. This was my first true track under the name Disd. Everything prior was ported over from the Wers alias after I decided that name made no sense on top of this music.

Techium is the most involved single track I've ever made. The actual demo, which more or less layed out the entire structure of the song was made in a single day, actually, but I spent the better part of two months fine tuning the details. During this I also rattled around probably twenty or thirty different titles for it. After I considered it "done" and sat on it for a month or so, I tweaked the "chorus" a few days before the compilation deadline.

The artwork is a picture I accidentally took while walking under a bridge in Vancouver. I was taking a bunch of the underside of it and accidentally pressed the button again while I was putting my arm down. That ended up being my favourite one.

I don't want any of this to sound like I poured my soul into this track and that it's the pinnacle of my career. All this means is that it took me way too long to produce this song...

Do you like it? I don't know. You could probably pretty easily find out by listening to it.

By the way, you should absolutely check out the rest of the compilation this track is from.
